After imaginary Pedro is defeated, the vigilante unmasks himself. After the vigilante resists Pedro's final influence to kill himself, the Final Boss is a Battle in the Center of the Mind against Pedro.The original flash game has "eat the banana" and then the protagonist spouts butterfly wings, fight the giant version of the Author Avatar (which takes form of a real photo of the author) and after defeating it, the protagonist blows up, and the words YOU WIN appeared, followed by congratulations and credits.
Freeze-Frame Bonus: In the launch trailer, there is one in form of a poster of Pedro saying "KILL THEM ALL". Free-Fall Fight: In 2-9, you chase Denny by jumping in a long pit while you are falling you are shooting down other enemies. Denny realizes that the vigilante is his brother, but doesn't say any more due to an inconvenient platform squishing him. Denny's hatred of fathers may seem to be a gag to make his Bad Santa theme work, but it turns out that the previous boss, Mitch, is said father. Foreshadowing: There's some clues of the vigilante and the bosses of the game are in fact connected. Ear Ache: The blood on the area at one end of Pedro as shown on the page image drops the disturbing implication that the vigilante erased his memory by jamming a banana far into his ear. I'm happy to report it all went really, really well, and I'm so grateful for having gotten this opportunity, and I'm so so grateful people really seem to enjoy the game! If you haven't already, check a look at the trailer above!Īnd as if just the adventure of going to E3 wasn't enough, the game got nominated for "Best of E3" by PC Gamer and CGM! It also got nominated for "Best Action Game" by IGN! And it won "Best Indie Game" by Resetmx! Incredible. While staying quite about the game for a while I was busy preparing things for bringing the game to E3, showing the game to journalists and the world in the Devolver parking lot.
